DJ Caruso’s Hitchcockian conspiracy thriller Eagle Eye is either a Usain Bolt-paced rollercoaster or two hours of brain-boggling madness, depending on your standpoint. Either way, it’s kind of fun, with Shia LaBeouf running around like Cary Grant on speed and Michelle Monaghan joining him on the lam in the Eva Marie Saint role.
The alternative ending is mildly spoilerific, but does offer a little reminder that The Man is still out there and is powerful enough to mess with your Guitar Hero. Interesting to hear viral one-hit wonders Ok Go getting another burst of airplay too. Eagle Eye is out on DVD on March 16. Guitar Hero is out now.

She’s starred onscreen with Tom Cruise, Patrick Dempsey and Shia LaBeouf, but Michelle Monaghan said those films don’t hold a candle to her new part – “the role of mommy.”

The Eagle Eye actress, 32, gave birth to daughter Willow Katherine on Nov. 5. Three months later, “every day feels like Christmas,” she told PEOPLE. “It’s such a profound love. A couple of weeks ago I saw her discover her own toes and she wiggled them and her eyes got really big.”

Monaghan ventured out on her own for a New York City amfAR gala Feb. 12. Leaving Willow at home in L.A. with husband Peter White was difficult for the actress. “It’s my first night away from her,” she says, “and I imagine I miss her more than she misses me.”

Just three months after giving birth, Monaghan zipped herself into a sample size Louis Vuitton dress and donned four-inch heels for the amfAR event at Cipriani 42nd Street. Her body after baby secret?

“Honestly, I started working out after two-and-a-half months,” she says. “I have a trainer. I’ve just been lifting weights and breast feeding. And I eat really healthy and a lot, because I’m breast feeding … always organic. I frequent Whole Foods. I never really cared so much about my diet until I got pregnant and had a baby.”

And when will Monaghan return to the screen? “I’m taking some time,” she says. “Looking at some [projects], but enjoying being in the role of mommy.”

Comingsoon.net gives a first look at Michelle’s new film “Eagle Eye”.

Earlier this week, ComingSoon.net got the chance to travel to Amblin Entertainment, where producers Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman and director D.J. Caruso showed us the first 30 minutes of Eagle Eye and answered questions about the Paramount/DreamWorks thriller, opening in theaters on September 26.

In Eagle Eye, Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan are two strangers who become the pawns of a mysterious woman they have never met, but who seems to know their every move. Realizing they are being used to further her diabolical plot, they must work together to outwit the woman before she has them killed. Rosario Dawson, Michael Chiklis, Anthony Mackie and Billy Bob Thornton co-star.

The nail bitting thriller starts off with Michael Chiklis at the Pentagon trying to determine the idenity of a terrorist the U.S. has been tracking. The President gave him the green light to attack, but Chiklis is apprehensive because there is only a 51% probability that the man is who they think it is.

We then see Shia LaBeouf Jerry playing poker with a couple of his friends –well, more like scamming them out of their money. We soon learn that his lovable and charming character works at the Copy Cabana and isn’t too financially stable. He dropped out of Stanford because he just didn’t want to go anymore and struggles to pay rent. He doesn’t have money in his account, which isn’t the case for long.
